ANDY'S SCRAPBOOK PAGE!
This here page is full of some random pictures that I've been too chicken to post for a while for fear of everyone knowing how much of a dork I am.
Now that I celebrate the fact that I'm a dork, I figure there isn't any reason not to post them. Plus, if you haven't closed my webpage after just looking at the artwork, you obviously are extremely bored, so... Enjoy!!

This picture was taken in North Tampa, I was driving around and I watched this huge cloud moving really fast and swirling about for a bit, so I pulled over and snapped a few shots of it. I was convinced McD's was about to go bye bye, but it ended up just spitting rain. What a let down. I mean, uh..thank God no one was hurt.
E3
2000
I was fortunate enough to go to E3 a couple of times during my Gorilla days, and got to do some cool stuff and meet some cool people.

I got to hang out with Bruce (Army of Darkness) Campbell behind the scenes for a bit and talk to him. I tell you the truth, I have never met anyone as "famous" as he that was such a genuinely down to earth AWESOME guy. The dude just rocks, he seemed just as happy to talk to me as I was him. Support this guy, rent his movies! I've talked to him a couple of times at various places since, and he still kicks butt.

There are three people in this picture that were really excited that they were an extra on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and one person who doesn't give a toss. Guess who's who!

Out in the lobby there was a Mattel Media Screen thing that was showing all the upcoming games. They kept showing Barbie Genie and even cooler, they were showing some of my artwork. It was the first time I ever saw my art up that big. Notice how all the people are standing around staring at the big screen, stunned with how awesome the art is? Pbphtblt! That one guy is more impressed with the Mattel logo.

Got to meet some interesting people,
like this Lego guy. I said "Hey! I used to play with you when I was young!"
and he said "Whatever creep, I'm just a guy in a suit."
Notice he's making that face, because you can't see where my right hand is.

There were two people in these Pacman
suits, I went up to them and asked "Hey, mind if I get a picture with
you?" And I heard a muffled voice say "Please...help. These... people
are crazy, we were taken from our parents and put into these suits! So...hungry!
Please....."
I wonder what that was all about? I love Pacman.

While we were in L.A., they were
having the premiere of Dinosaur at the El Captian on Hollywood Blvd., with
all the voice actors and the red carpet. They really went all out! Remember
this movie?
Neither does the rest of America. This was before Sept. 11th when money was
no object forDisney.

Finding Nemo Kickoff Party
So far, one of the highlights
of my career, I got to go to the kick off party of Pixar's Finding Nemo where
all of the people responsible for the movie and it's marketing got a glimpse
of the movie and everything involved with it about a year before it came out.
The party afterward was at the Kodak theatre where they hold the Oscars, and
it was awesome until I met some of the people involved and got to see what
kind of people they REALLY are.
*koff* Lasseter *koff*

Me outside the Kodak theatre acting like an ass, when things got too serious. Way way in the back on that mountain is the Hollywood sign. See it?

I snuck in a camera to the party and took some pictures of the concept work. I guess now that movie is over and done with I won't get sued for posting this. : P

There were Maquettes of all the characters there as well. Man I wanted one. Unfortunately, no amount of Long Island Iced tea could get me enough courage to take one. (I tried)

On the Disney lot the next day (which was practically Fort Knox) there were some really cool buildings. Rumor has it that when it rains, one of the dwarves looks like he's peeing. Alas, all sunny that day.

Got to go into the library on the lot which houses every single Disney book ever published, along with movie props and maquettes of all the old movies. I could have been there all day.

This is the multiplane camera they used on Snow White and Sleeping Beauty to show parallax and depth. Way before all these new fangled computers. Man, a lot of work when into those movies.
BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY
Anybody who has read this page at length, or knows me at all, knows that my favorite band of all time is Big Bad VooDoo Daddy. They are incredible, their energy is infectious and they are all the coolest, down to earth guys on the planet. Every time I've seen them live, I've gotten the opportunity to hang with them afterwards because that's how amazingly cool they are to their fans.

See the smiles? They're having a blast when they play, and they cheer each other on when they solo. I got so sick of going to concerts where the bands just stare at their feet and try to act like tortured artists. Have fun! You're doing what you like for a living!!

This was at Jannus Landing in St. Pete.

HURRICANE FRANCES (Sept. 2004)
Oh Geez, Hurricane Frances, where do I start?
Frances reared her ugly head as Hurricane number two of three hurricanes in
a row from Aug. to Sept. And tonight, (Sept. 23) We're looking at three more
systems in the Atlantic right now lining up to smack us. Its almost like Jamaica
is whizzing 200 mile long throwing stars at us.
After much pain and anguish of what was about to happen I decided that should my entire city get obliterated, I should start taking pictures so some explorer might find my mangled digital camera and know what happened to me and my felled state.
Alright, that's not how it happened at all. I said, hey the sky looks cool, lets take some pictures.
The clouds started coming in in bands and the later it got, the lower they got. It was really pretty, but also surreal. They started getting really low, and really fast as the wind started to pick up.
This is my backyard well into the bands...

I also took movies with my digital camera! They are Quicktime format..
Right Click on any of these Movie Links and click "Save As" to save them to your computer so you can watch them!...
Movie#1 The Wind is Picking Up Out Front!
Movie #2 The Tree Across the Street!
At around sunset, the craziest thing happened. The sky cleared and it was quiet between the bands. Then all of the sudden, this HUGE black cloud comes around and pretty much swallows the sunset. But while it did it, it was raining, and the rain was reflecting the sun and lighting up the rain like little lights contrasting the black cloud.
It was breath taking and I just happened to be there at the right time because it only lasted for about 20 seconds. I GOT VIDEO TOO! See below the picture!

Movie#3 This Picture in motion!
At this point, my dog is freaking out a bit and wants to know why the world outside is making so much noise.
Movie#4 My Guard Puppy wants to kick some Hurricane BOOTY!

Then the clouds start getting lower and moving faster. Crazy man, CRAZY!
Movie#5 Fast moving clouds are unnerving
This went on for a day or so, my fence got blown over, but that was it, no big problems, just some cool shots!
Afterward, there was such a clearly defined end of the storm, and this AWESOME sunset, it was almost fake looking.

Movie#7 The Clear Edge of the Storm

Movie#8 God says "Sorry 'bout the mess, here's a really pretty sunset."

New York City 2003
My wife Courtney and I made a trip to New York City this last winter and got hooked, we're probably going back this fall, the place is just amazing. I now know why all the songs are written about it.

This was taken at ground zero where the cross is from the wreckage of the building. Living in Florida I had no concept of how big the trade center area was, it took us almost an hour to walk all the way around the perimeter. I can not even imagine the chaos that ensued that day.

Outside the Met Museum, where we got to see my artistic idol's exhibition. Leonardo DaVinci. Man, he kicks booty.

This is a picture of Courtney and I walking down a mirrored staircase of a two story McDonalds in Midtown.

My lovely wife in front of the New York Public Library. THEY FILMED GHOSTBUSTERS THERE, MAN!

Times square that night, there was a Native American band playing outside, it sounded like it was straight off the "Pure Moods" CD. Good stuff.
Misc. Schtuph

Courtney and I goofing off on our honeymoon back in '98. Note the long haired hippy 'do.

This was a gig that my band "For" played at a clubhouse of an apartment complex (movin' on up baby!). That's me holding the mike and saying something stupid. Unfortunately, Erik the bongo player is behind Jason and you can't see him. Yes that's an accordion player also.

Court and some buddies of ours out in the middle of the woods in the middle of the night, about to play ninja tag.
